Refund Policy (Effective After the U.S. Customs Regulation Change)
1. Overview
Due to recent changes in U.S. customs and import duty regulations,
LikeCanada has been required to pay significantly higher duties and import-related costs for all shipments to the United States.
Accordingly, our refund policy has been updated to clearly distinguish between U.S. orders and other regions.
2. U.S. Orders (Shipments to the United States)
a) General Rule
Once shipping has begun, returns or refunds due to change of mind or personal preference will not be accepted.
If the customer still wishes to proceed with a return,
the return shipping cost will be the customer’s responsibility,
and the refund will be processed only after the returned item has been received and verified at our facility.
The refund amount will be issued after deducting the original shipping cost paid for the U.S. delivery.
This restriction is necessary because all U.S. shipments are now subject to non-refundable duties, customs fees, and FDA-related import costs that LikeCanada must prepay on behalf of customers.
b) Full Refund Eligibility
A full refund will be issued immediately after verification if:

The product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, and the issue was caused by LikeCanada.

The order was not delivered or was severely damaged during transit.
In such cases, since the issue is caused by the carrier, a claim must first be filed with the postal service.
The carrier (e.g., Canada Post or USPS) will then contact the recipient directly by email to confirm non-delivery or damage.
Once the customer responds to that email and confirms the issue, the refund will be processed accordingly.
c) Customer Responsibility for Returns
If a return occurs due to reasons attributable to the customer
(e.g., wrong address, refused delivery, personal circumstances, or failure to receive due to absence),
the return shipping cost and any duties already paid will be deducted from the refund amount.
d) Policy on Unclaimed or Failure to Collect Deliveries
For the safety and security of high-value products, some shipments may require a signature upon delivery.
It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor the tracking information and to arrange pick-up or redelivery with the local carrier if a delivery notice is left.
If a package is returned to our warehouse because the recipient was absent, unavailable, refused delivery, failed to collect the package from the local post office, or did not arrange redelivery with the carrier, the order will not be eligible for a refund.
In such cases, the only available resolution is redelivery. The customer will be responsible for paying the additional shipping fee for the second delivery attempt before the package can be shipped again.
e) Pre-shipment Cancellations
If an order is canceled before shipping begins,
a refund will be issued minus any non-refundable payment processing fees
(e.g., Shopify or credit card transaction fees).
f) Non-returnable U.S. Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded once shipping has started,
due to hygiene, safety, and U.S. import regulations:

Food, beverages, and perishable health items

Beauty products (cosmetics, skincare, makeup, etc.)

Personal care products
-
Sale items and gift cards
3. Orders from Other Regions
a) 30-Day Return Policy
You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible, your item must be:

In the same condition as received (unworn, unused, unopened)

With tags and original packaging
-
Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase
b) Change of Mind or Personal Preference
If you wish to return an item for personal reasons (such as change of mind),
a refund will be issued after deducting the shipping cost,
and the return shipping cost will be your responsibility.
c) Defective or Damaged Products
If the product is defective, damaged, or incorrect due to LikeCanada’s error,
a full refund or replacement will be issued immediately after inspection.
d) Return Process

If your return is accepted, we’ll provide a return label (if applicable) and instructions on where to send the package.
Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
4. High-Risk and Payment-Related Cancellations
a) High-Risk Orders
Orders flagged as High Risk by our payment processor are subject to immediate cancellation and refund.
Refunds will be issued minus applicable processing fees,
and such orders will not proceed to fulfillment.
5. Refund Process and Timeline
Refunds are processed after we receive and inspect your returned item.
Once approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.
It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to post the refund.

6. Non-returnable and Hygiene-Sensitive Items (All Regions)
The following items cannot be returned:

Perishable or consumable goods (food, health supplements, etc.)

Beauty and personal care products (cosmetics, skincare, makeup, etc.)

Custom or personalized items

Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

Sale items and gift cards
7. European Union Customers
If your order is shipped to the European Union,
you have the right to cancel or return within 14 days for any reason, without justification.
The item must be unused, with tags and original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
